2023 REMI
Lake County Skin-Macerated Sauvignon Blanc
2023 Remi is a lightly macerated Sauvignon Blanc from vines cultivated in Clear Lake at Stonehouse Cellars. This is a site that continues again and again to prove that dressed down vineyards in nondescript places, farmed with the right intentions, will transform into meaningful and worthy wine. In this case, think fresh pressed mango and apricot juice - the nose alone will have you thinking about shamelessly eating summer stone fruits over the sink.
With 3 days of maceration, our goal was to finesse the lively and fresh tropical nature of Sauvignon Blanc before over-extracting tannins to achieve structure without the wine feeling weighed down. As the sibling cuvée to the Joujou, we were excited to see how the fruit would express in neutral oak as opposed to clay amphora – we are beyond stoked at the result & can’t wait to get some in your glass during this heat. Light on its feet, full in your mouth, Remi sings a tune of layered fruits and refreshing acidity to all who will listen - a new Etteilla release for the people!
Every year we do a first press gin & juice (a la our mentor Johan Meyer) and every year we be praying it's that Clear Lake Sauvy B. Best cocktail in town.

2021 DIMONI
Testa Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (with a bit of Carignan and Petit Sirah)
Cali Cab Sauv - a Bacchus delight of blackberry balsamic, white pepper, and dark chocolate ganache. A perfect balance of tannins and alcohol only achieved after 30 (!!) months in barrels. A wine to drink with your grandpa over pasta & meatballs.
A new release from an old vintage (& our first as Etteilla!), made at Coturri winery in 2021. The Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested before sunrise under the full-moon on September 21st from a block of vines along the Russian River at Testa Vineyards - a fifth generation family vineyard in Calpella, Mendocino. In classic Coturri style, the cab was destemmed, crushed, and left to ferment open top with two punchdowns a day. The grapes were pressed once dry in Tony’s 40 year old basket press - sent directly to barrels. The wine was racked once in the winter of 2022, then sat untouched until bottling in May 2024.
